You run the poll. It doesn’t run you.
Your moderator opens the poll when the speaker reaches the slide, not before. Close it when the room has voted, so nobody wanders in at the end and tips a result. Reveal the numbers on cue, for the moment when the chart lands better than the sentence would.

Where it isn’t the right tool: live polling is for reading the room, not for binding votes. If you need verified identity, proxies and a formal result — an AGM resolution or a committee election — that’s a different job, and we’d rather tell you now than on the day. After the session
The chart survives the room.
Poll results go into the attendee recap and into your post-event report: what was asked, how the room answered, and how many voted. It’s the part of an event that usually exists only as a photo of a screen on somebody’s phone.

How do attendees vote?
They scan the QR code on screen or open the event link, then tap their answer. No app, no download, no sign-up.
What kinds of poll can we run?
Multiple choice, rating scales, word clouds and open text. Tell us what you want to ask and we’ll set the polls up with you before the event.
Can we prepare the polls in advance?
Yes. We load them against your programme so your moderator only has to open each one on cue.
Can we hide the results while people vote?
Yes. Keep the chart off the screen until the poll closes, so early votes don’t nudge the rest of the room.
Can online attendees vote too?
Yes. The room and the online audience vote in the same poll and see the same result.
Can we use this for an AGM vote or an election?
No, and we’d rather say so. Live polling reads the room; it doesn’t verify who is voting, handle proxies or produce a formal result. For resolutions and elections you need a different tool — ask us and we’ll point you at the right one.
What stops someone voting twice?
Each attendee votes once per poll from their own device.
Do we get the results afterwards?
Yes. Results go into the attendee recap and your post-event report, with the vote counts and the share of attendees who took part.
